Endovascular stenting, however, offers minimally invasive approach for treatment hemodynamically significant obstructions.Case ReportPatients 1 2 both presented with reports low-flow alarms their LVADs. A simple method of creating LVAD outflow tract aortic anastomosis.

Left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation is frequently complicated by intraoperative and postoperative bleeding, particularly at the aortic anastomosis site. Many modifications of the anastomosis have been attempted. We describe a simple method to anastomose the LVAD outflow tract to the ascending aorta with minimal bleeding and a short anastomosis time.

A Case Report of left ventricle outflow tract (LVOT) Tumor in a 49 old day infant

Rhabdomyomata are probably the most common tumors that occur very rarely during infancy. In this paper, we report the case of a 49-day-old infant who was diagnosed by echocardiography examination with left ventricle outflow tract (LVOT) obstruction caused by rhabdomyoma. The infant underwent surgical approach, and her mass was shaved. Finally, she was discharged from hospital in good gener...

A new endovascular size reducer for large pulmonary outflow tract.

Around 75% of patients with severe pulmonary insufficiency requiring valvular replacement are excluded from percutaneous pulmonary valve implantation (PPVI) due to a large ventricular outflow tract. To extend the indication of PPVI to these patients, a new size reducer has been designed. This 35-mm size reducer was successfully deployed inside the main pulmonary artery through a 21-Fr delivery ...

Endovascular stent implantation for the management of postoperative right ventricular outflow tract obstruction: clinical efficacy.

OBJECTIVE Extracardiac conduits between the right ventricle and pulmonary arteries commit patients to multiple reoperations. We reviewed our experience with stent implantation in obstructed conduits. METHODS Between 1990 and 1997, stents were implanted across 43 conduits. The median age at procedure was 6 years (0.5-17 years), and the median interval between conduit insertion and stent implan...

Endovascular treatment of common femoral artery obstructions.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the clinical efficacy of endovascular therapy of symptomatic obstructions of the common femoral artery (CFA). METHODS Consecutive series of patients undergoing endovascular therapy of chronic CFA obstructions between 1995 and 2009 and who were followed systematically within a prospectively maintained database. Clinical assessment was based on current guidelines including...
